-

Atopémonos Bailando is a programme of artistic and research residencies co-organised by the dance company Colectivo Glovo and the Department of Culture, Tourism and Language of the City Council of Lugo, with the support of the Xunta de Galicia through Agadic, aimed at dance and movement arts creators from Galicia, the rest of Spain, Portugal and Costa Rica, and held at the MIHL Museum in the city of Lugo.

Since 2022, six artistic institutions have joined the program as collaborators, facilitating exchange between Spain, Portugal, and Costa Rica. These institutions include: teatromosca from Portugal (AMAS - AUDITÓRIO MUNICIPAL ANTÓNIO SILVA), Teatro Experimental Flaviense from Portugal (Cine-Teatro Bento Martins), Quinzena de Dança de Almada from Portugal (International Dance Festival), Sede SóLODOS Costa Rica, Taller Nacional de Danza from Costa Rica, and Festival LaboXL (Gipuzkoako Dantzagunea). This collaboration stems from a shared interest in creating cross-border networks with other entities and expanding the program’s reach.

The dance company Colectivo Glovo, formed by Esther Latorre (Galicia) and Hugo Pereira (Porto), is the manager of the artistic residency and research programme Atopémonos Bailando.

Based in Galicia, they work in the creation of the stage for theatre, street and non-conventional spaces, as well as cultural managers, since one of their main objectives as a company is to increase the scope of the dynamics of the body and generate networks between artists, entities and citizens.
